Description : The Seasons of Marriage Marriage life has different seasons. It doesn’t matter whether you are a newlywed or have been married for years, there will definitely be times in your marriage relationship when you feel frustrated, sad, angry, irritated, or confused. On the hand, there will also be times in your marriage when you feel completely in love, bonded, connected, secure, and happy. Moments of thoughtfulness, playfulness, exploration, discovery, and quiet time together can make you feel like you are living in your own world. There is nothing good than feeling loved, like everything in your relationship is just connecting. In marriage, there are two big categories of seasons namely: internal and external. External marital seasons are those difficult situations, matters and issues of which we have absolutely no control. Internal marital problems are issues that develop from within the marriage over which both spouses have control. A successful couple understand that in order to maintain happiness and balance in their marriage, they must learn how to change their gears. When complications arise, these couples communicate, take the risk to express their feelings, listen to one another, and work TOGETHER to create a solution. Marriage is a journey with different seasons as you travel. Remember that every season is a unique adventure. Live and enjoy the season you are in and enjoy the benedictions through: • Better communication • More quality time together • Affair preventions • Lowered odds for divorce • Reactivated sex life • Flexibility to succeed despite conflicting differences. Finally, good and bad seasons are natural in marriage, everyone knows that. Sometimes everything is working right for you. Sometimes your marriage is facing trials, hardships and challenges. Sometimes everything seems stagnant and frozen. You must know that you can't fast-forward, rewind, or skip reasons. No season is for no reason. God brings us through every season for divine reason. The beauty of marriage is in facing the changes together as a team.

Description : Winner of the 2018 Christian Book Award for Bible of the Year. The Swindoll Study Bible offers the best of Chuck Swindoll's wit, charm, pastoral insight, and wise biblical study directly to you as you study God's Word. Chuck's warm, personal style comes across on every page, and his informed, practical insights get straight to the heart of the Bible's message for the world today. Reading each part of this study Bible is like hearing Chuck speak God's Word directly to your heart. It will both encourage readers' faith and draw them deeper into the study of God's Word. In Chuck's own words: "This study Bible was designed with you in mind. As you read the Scriptures, imagine my sitting beside you and sharing personal stories, important insights, and hard-earned lessons that will encourage you to walk more closely with Jesus Christ. You'll discover the who, what, where, when, why, and how of the Bible: Who wrote it and when? What does it mean, and where did its events occur? Why should I trust it? And most importantly, how can I apply it today? "It's that last question more than any other that has fed my passion to publish this Bible. My primary focus in ministry has been teaching biblical insight for living . . . for genuine life change. After all, that's why God has communicated His Word to us--so that we may become like His Son, Jesus Christ, the central figure of this Book." Free app with purchase! Description : All that was done to us, what we have done to others, the failures, the ills, the violations of our persons, the brutalities, the perversions of life, rejections, death of loved ones, tragedies, loneliness, abandonment, Jesus paid the penalty for all these sins, and provided the means to handle the tragedies of life. We do not need to deal with these violations and tragedies on our own. Christ is in us to work out our salvation daily (Phil. 2:12-13; Gal. 2:20; 2 Cor. 5:21; Rom. 6:3-6; Ezek. 18:20). Being in Christ, we are new creatures and we are to deal with life now from the biblical perspective. Our problem is not with Satan, not with people, not with the circumstances of life, but our problem lies in our relationship with God. Our focus is to change from a concern about self, to a concern about God's glory and that is accomplished by our godly responses to others and life in general (Rom. 5:17; Cor. 5:21). Thus, the answer to healing the soul lies here: loving God by obeying His commands (John 14:21), and dealing with unresolved actions of the past in a spirit of repentance and reconciliation (Matt. 7:5).

Description : Marriage is the most demanding and potentially rewarding relationship for many adults. Learning to navigate its challenges can be difficult. Staying One is a practical guide that not only teaches the spiritual what and why of marriage but also provides advice and practice in the how. Intended to save readers from the pain of learning the hard way, it illustrates and explains biblically sound approaches to building a healthy and fulfilling marriage that lasts. These include things married people should and shouldn't say to each other. Staying One will prove useful to pastors in their pre-marital counseling and to the couples they are ministering. It will serve as powerful source material for marriage enrichment workshops, retreats focused on marriage, and church-based growth groups and adult education classes. The book will prove of special interest to engaged couples, newlyweds, those wanting to revitalize their marriages, and married people on the brink of divorce. A key feature is that each chapter concludes with a response from the author's wife, reflecting a woman's point of view. We also offer a Workbook for use in completing the twenty hands-on activities contained in Staying One, as well as a comprehensive Leader's Guide for those facilitating workshops based on the book.

Description : Marriage today is suffering from a spirit of compromising the truth of God because couples don’t want to disappoint the world and its expectations, they don’t want to be disapproved by the world and it natural way of doing things and as a result their marriages fail to reach their full potential growth because people want to keep a balance between the natural and divine the super-natural. This book is written t as caution, to cautiontize all our young man out there about the need to think twice before rushing into the things of God, because marriage is not a playground for impressers but a holy commitment for those who are prepared to serve the Lord & fear the Lord. Every day as young couples we battle with matters that makes us fall short from the glory of God simply because we are new to this platform called “marriage” and we don’t have the experience; we battle with finding ourselves in each other, our oneness and to embrace each other sometimes simply because we are different, having different backgrounds, and we think different when coming to handling matters of God in our marriage. Influenced by the pleasures and pressures of this life, we sometimes compromise the will of GOD not because we don’t know the truth, but because we want to save ourselves from all the humiliations and pressures of life.
