Description : I feel Beautiful Memories in Poetry has a poem for everyone. If you are happy in love, have a strong sense of politics, or have recently lost a loved one you will find a poem here to match the feelings you are currently feeling. I have tried to poetically describe how some of the events in my life have made me feel. While glancing at an old photograph of my parents I remembered how much in love they were all the years they were together so I fondly wrote the poem, "In a Field of Daisies". Happily, this poem was made into a country and western song in the later part of the 1980's. I have lost my son Chris at a tender age of twenty-three and many other family members. I have sat and expressed the deep sadness these events have given me. Birthdays, anniversaries, and most anything that puts smiles on people's faces also puts a pen in my hand and a sense of fun in my mind. These days, if I am not writing a poem someone will ask me to! Please enjoy reading my poetry. You might find something you like and something that is very close to home!

Description : The Child Inside is a delightful book of childhood stories and original poems, which span from the writer’s childhood to her present life. It is a collection of nostalgic memories, followed by the poems that those memories inspired. The wonderful poetry and singsong style of each verse will enrapture children and keep them happy for hours. These narratives capture the imagination no matter the age of the reader, and the illustrations connect you in a special way to the places and characters these poems portray, whether they be a pair of naughty pumpkins or a little girl who lost her mittens playing in the snow. The engaging pages of this charming book carry readers from their own beds to neighborhood farms all the way to Santa’s workshop. Each journey is fantastically told through recollections of youth and anecdotes, which are warm, familiar, and heartfelt. The sincere prose and exceptional verse contained within will make you want to read each one again and again.

Description : A SNEAK PEAK BY GONE LOVE is a book of poems that was written between the nineteen sixties and nineties. A few new poems have been added to the collection. Here's hoping that these poems will bring sweet memories to lovely old gals again, reminding them of yesterday's dreams as they did to this eighty year old writer when she found them tucked away in old books and cabinets. These poems were old, yellowed and falling apart, but like beautiful memories they were restored with love and tender care. A special song, dream, a picture, a lock of hair, a pressed flower or a smile upon a grandchild's face, any one of these things can take us back to the days when we were young, wild, crazy and so much in love. Also the reminiscing of yesterdays dreams, antics, hopes and loves of yesteryear. Inside this book you will find poems such as Bye Gone Love, My One and Only, Teenage Love, Good-Bye, F.Y.R, First Love, The Love of My Life And A Rose So Red. May these poems bring back beautiful memories and warm old hearts again. BEATRICE KINCY WATSON

Description : Representing Others in Medieval Iberian Literature explores the ways Arabic, Jewish and Christian intellectuals in medieval Iberia (courtiers and clerics) adapt and transform the Andalusi go-between figure in order to represent their own role as cultural intermediaries. While these authors are of different religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds, they use the go-between, an essential figure in the Andalusi courtly discourse of desire, to open up a secular, more tolerant intellectual space in the face of increasingly fundamentalist currents in their respective cultures. The way this study focuses on the hybrid discourses and identities of medieval Iberia as Muslim, Jewish and Christian responses to continual contact/conflict reflects a methodological approach based in Cultural and Translation Studies.

Description : Continuous prosperity can be within our grasp provided we institute the simple economic reform fully documented in these pages. This is what this book promises Most readers will get a tax break Absolutely no taxes on produced things All land-sites would be used productively No diminution at all in government revenues It sounds almost too good to be true, but these four benefits have already occurred whenever it has been tried in actual practice. This is important - a proposal must be not only simple and logical, but tested. Prospective readers should know that there is a veritable mountain of empirical evidence proving each of these four points see chapter three. Much more hard empirical evidence is available, but uppermost in the author's mind was the readability of this book. Heavy subject, light treatment. You be the judge. If this simple proposal is not enacted, then America and the other democracies in the world will slowly tax themselves into "benevolent" dictatorship (no doubt still called democracy) and socialism (probably called compassion). It's happening already. Free enterprise can't work without it and will soon disappear. You should know that literally hundreds of well-known historical figures and urban experts have endorsed this proposal see chapter five. You could know what they know? To find out what this proposal is, you will have to read the book. Suffice it to say here that there is a good tax that actually promotes the economy, even if the revenue it produces is thrown away! If this book's proposal can accomplish the above four benefits, this book then is truly epochal. The proposal becomes the most important idea since the beginning of human history. Simplicity and readability these have been the watchwords of the author while writing this book. He has not found it necessary to obfuscate. It has been his primary intention to make this book not only vitally important but a joy to read no jargon allowed.

Description : In Black and Gold indicates that opposed styles of poetry reveal subterranean correspondences that occasionally meet and run together. Austerity or tomfoolery are two of the many valid responses to the human condition that create the contiguous traditions that cannot help touching and reacting to each other. The poetry discussed in this book deals with the relation of individuals to strange or to familiar landscapes, and what this means to their own sense of displacement or rootedness; with the use of history as an escape from or as a challenge to an apparently failing present; and with the role of nationalism either as a refuge for angry frustration, or as a weapon against the affronting world, or as an ambivalent loyalty that needs to be scoured, or as all three. Here we find poetry as a means of discovering true or false allegiances and valid or invalid public and private identities; poetry as a medium for exploring the uses of the demotic in confronting the breakdowns and injustices of modern democracy; poetry as play in the midst of private and public woe; poetry as a spiritual quest, as a spiritual scourging, as a wrestling with spiritual absences; and poetry as an intermittent and sporadic commemoration of the triumphs and delights of epiphanic encounters with the physical world.

Description : More than anything, perhaps, this volume strives to elucidate the concept of poesie critique, which has received very little attention. This omission is surprising since the genre influenced the Surrealist invention of poesie synthetique as well as many writers who followed Apollinaire, trying to reconcile poetry and criticism.

Description : My life has been so blessed with joy and happiness thanks to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have wanted to give back something that might bring joy to others and leave a lasting testament to my family and friends. Not possessing exceptional talent, I struggled with how I could accomplish my desire. God came to my aid and provided me with the ability to put thoughts into poems, which many of my friends found with favor, and at their encouragement, I decided to put into this book. The Bible says to love your neighbor as you would yourself. I can honestly state that I have tried to live by that throughout my existence on this earth. It is my hope that this book will create an appreciative and thankful feeling in your heart for some of your life's personal experiences.
