Description : Storm clouds are on the horizon and are hovering over the Judeo-Christian community. Returning to God’s Word is our only hope for these troubled times. On the cusp of these changing times, a remnant is being identified and “called out” by the Holy Spirit to return to the foundational roots of Christianity. The First Century Church of Jesus’ Apostles was vastly different from the church of today. Their foundational strength was built upon the Rock of Jesus Christ and was founded upon the Biblical (Hebrew/Jewish) customs of Jesus Christ and His disciples. This book is a basic handbook—a “101 Primer”—for reconciliation and restoration. Its exposure to the rich Hebraic customs and traditions of Jesus’ day will bring a refreshing breath to traditional Christianity. It’s a call to return to “the faith once delivered to the saints,” to prepare for eternity in God’s city, the New Jerusalem.

Description : The revelations contained in the Bible serve as a supreme guide by which to measure all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions—and today’s Christians are in steady moral and spiritual decline. A 2010 survey by the Barna Research Group reveals that in American churches, Christians have become less knowledgeable about the Bible, less interested in spiritual disciplines, and more desirous of secular techniques to solve life’s problems, thus blurring the distinction between their conduct and that of nonbelievers. In Seven Pillars of Christianity: An Introduction to the Essential Christian Doctrines, Dr. William Ekane reveals the life-transforming foundations of the Christian faith and issues a clarion call for Christians to return to authentic Christianity. First presenting his compelling case for the scientific reliability and divine origin of the Bible, Dr. Ekane works closely with Scripture as he leads us through everything from the Lord Jesus Christ to trust and faith in the living God to, finally, the five major judgments and Revelation. These practical, strategic insights and essential truths are invaluable to new converts as well as mature believers. The Word of the Holy Spirit offers transformation, illuminating our hearts and minds as we strengthen our spiritual foundation and grow deeper in God.

Description : In His concluding words of the Sermon on the Mount, found in Matthew 7:24-27, Jesus Christ tells a parable (a glossary of terms in italics is found at the end of the book) about two house builders. The first builder is obedient, follows instructions, and builds his house on a solid rock foundation. The second builder is disobedient, does not follow instructions, and builds his house on a sandy foundation. When a storm comes, the house on the sandy foundation does not survive; however, the house built on the rock foundation does survive. A Christian's faith should be like the first builder who built a house on a solid rock foundation, not like the second builder that built a house on a sandy foundation. It has been my experience that many Christians, in both interdenominational and denominational churches that I have served, have not built their faith on a strong foundation. They are the, "Many that will say to [Him] on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?'

Description : In God's School (A L' Ecole de Dieu) is foundational Christian instruction. It follows the outline of John Calvin's Geneva Catechism along with the Heidelberg Catechism. According to the ancient practice of the church, In God's School instructs in doctrine, expounding the Apostles' Creed. It enriches common evangelical treatments of these subjects by including fine sections on the church and the ministry of Word and sacraments as means of grace. It lays out basic Christian ethics by expounding the Ten Commandments. It teaches Christian worship by explaining the Lord's Prayer. This book may be used over the course of a school year. Students read a chapter each week. It also familiarizes students with the fine catechetical materials of the Protestant Reformation. Each chapter is divided into daily readings that include Scripture, so the student receives doctrinal teaching along with daily Bible study. Perhaps the greatest strength of In God's School is the presentation of the Commandments and Prayer. John Calvin's stress on the grace of God shines through ethical exhortation. Maturity in Christ comes from a growing knowledge of God through the gospel of his Son, a clearer understanding of the life he calls us to walk before him, and the Spirit's love and strength. With spiritual wisdom and rigor, Pierre Marcel leads us in knowing God.

Description : If you long to reach kids and see their lives changed by God, this comprehensive guide shows you how. Purpose Driven® Youth Ministry will do for youth ministry what Rick Warren's Gold Medallion award-winning, The Purpose Driven® Church is doing for pastoral ministry. It's an indispensable guide to creating and maintaining youth ministry for the long run. It will help you create a solid spiritual team that builds the foundations of the Christian faith into the hearts and lives of young people. Forged around the fundamental purposes of evangelism, discipleship, fellowship, ministry, and worship, Purpose Driven® Youth Ministry uses the experiences of Saddleback Church to illustrate what a healthy Youth ministry can be. Nine transferable principles help you - Connect with the power of God for passionate, committed leadership - Define the purpose of your ministry and communicate it effectively - Identify your potential audience - Create programs that reach your audience and fulfill God's purposes - Implement processes that move students to maturity - Enhance your ministry with clearly defined values - Team up with parents to involve the whole family - Find volunteers and develop them into participating leaders - Persevere through tough times and thrive in an ever-changing environment. Balancing both theory and practice, Purpose Driven® Youth Ministry can be applied to any church setting, regardless of size, denomination, facilities, resources, and existing leadership. Purpose-Driven Youth Ministry will help you develop a ministry that equips students rather than a ministry that coordinates events. Doug Fields says, "My goal for this book is to coach you through a plan to build a healthy youth ministry that isn't dependent on one great youth leader and won't be destroyed when the youth worker leaves the church. It's not a book on how to grow your youth ministry with six easy steps; it's about identifying, establishing, and building health into your church's youth ministry.

Description : Winner of a 2004 ECPA Gold Medallion Award! Winner of an Award of Excellence in the 2003 Chicago Book Clinic! What is real? What is truth? What can we know? What should we believe? What should we do and why? Is there a God? Can we know him? Do Christian doctrines make sense? Can we believe in God in the face of evil? These are fundamental questions that any thinking person wants answers to. These are questions that philosophy addresses. And the answers we give to these kinds of questions serve as the the foundation stones for consrtucting any kind of worldview. In Philosophical Foundations for a Christian Worldview J.P. Moreland and William Lane Craig offer a comprehensive introduction to philosophy from a Christian perspective. In their broad sweep they seek to introduce readers to the principal subdisciplines of philosophy, including epistemology, metaphysics, philosophy of science, ethics and philosophy of religion. They do so with characteristic clarity and incisiveness. Arguments are clearly outlined, and rival theories are presented with fairness and accuracy. Philosophy, they contend, aids Christians in the tasks of apologetics, polemics and systematic theology. It reflects our having been made in the image of God, helps us to extend biblical teaching into areas not expressly addressed in Scripture, facilitates the spiritual discipline of study, enhances the boldness and self-image of the Christian community, and is requisite to the essential task of integrating faith and learning. Here is a lively and thorough introduction to philosophy for all who want to know reality.

Description : The Foundations delivers transforming lessons for the Christian believer (especially suited for new believers) to build strong "The Foundations" of their Christian faith. The book is divided into 10 easy to follow lessons, each including 10 enlightening discussion questions. They help you clearly understand and establish the vital foundations of the Christian faith to become a true disciple of Jesus Christ. Developed from a pastors perspective, to strengthen new believers into powerful disciples of Jesus, who understand from the very beginning who they are in Christ and how to live victoriously in Him. During his own pastoring and discipling of new believers, Howard was aware of a shortage of material that adequately dealt with this and began writing material to use in his church. This material has now been proven over many years in establishing new Christians, it has been improved and refined over the years to provide this powerfully succinct book you have today. Ideal for: - Churches new Christian classes, One on one discipleship, Individual studies for new Christians Refreshing those older in the faith in their reason for believing. What some of the many Christian leaders around the world have said about "The Foundations."This is the prayer of thousands of servants of God who are in the discipling ministry. We look for a book to place in the hands of a new convert that will tell him, 'What to do now?' Now here is the prayer answered. I hope and trust that the soul winners will use this. We would like to see this book in the Indian languages. Dr. P.G. Vargis Founder/President, Indian Evangelical Team New Delhi, India "The Foundation" by Howard Sands is one of the best concise training tools for new believers I have ever seen. First the teaching is Biblical and supportive of Evangelical-Full Gospel teaching in its teaching on important doctrines, such as repentance, baptism by immersion and the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Secondly, the various questions with the correlating Bible verses in the reviews will help the new believer to really understand and experience these important foundational truths. Pastor Dennis Balcombe Senior Pastor, Revival Christian Church Founder and Director, Revival Chinese Ministries International Hong Kong An excellent and useful tool to help new Christians. Rev Dr Ken Chant, Founder, Vision International College Sydney, Australia This easy to read and teach foundation series is a must for local churches and ministries. This foundation series reflects the extensive ministry and missionary experience of Howard and Joy Sands. Apostle Leslie Munsamy Founder/ President, Global Apostolic Centre Chairman, Apostolic Fellowship of South Africa Durban, South Africa This short book tells it 'as it is'. It is hard hitting and easy to read and it is designed to develop a deep hunger for God in the new disciple and an enthusiasm to fulfil the great commission. It is also scripturally sound and uncompromising in its challenge. Howard Barnes (Servant Apostle) Co-founder and Co-director of The Call2Come Truro, UK I think you have produced a very helpful resource here. It is simple yet comprehensive and tackles each basic discipleship area with wisdom yet simplicity. I think the questions are very helpful indeed. Pastor Brian Medway Senior Pastor, Grace Christian Fellowship Chairman, Crosslink Christian Network. Canberra, Australia
