Our picture of God is “developed” through a variety of sources—what others have said about God, what we conclude because of experiences, observations, reading, analyses, and so on. But not all of these may be correct! Based on our past experiences, we tend to retain many of our biases, misconceptions and wrong notions of who God is, what He does and how He works. Sometimes even what we may have heard in religious places, read in religious books could have misrepresented God to us and may have resulted in us having a wrong and inaccurate picture of God. Very often we even think that God could be mean and cruel. This book paints a fresh picture of God, showing us from the Bible that God is a good God. The Author of this Book of Poetry was born and raised in rural Stephentown, in Upstate New York, with four older sisters, and a younger brother. As a country girl, Norma was always interested in Reading and Writing and being Outdoors with Nature. Her love of Poetry is reflected in this inspiring, and often humorous collection, spanning over five decades, where she shares some of her hopes, dreams and sorrows, giving the Lord Jesus Christ all the Glory. As a young Mother she was touched by the Holy Spirit when her children were required, with her help, to learn daily Bible verses for the Five Day Club held at their home by a Christian teenager from CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship). The verse she vividly remembers is Luke 19:10: "For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost." Shortly after that both she and her husband answered an Altar Call, at their local church, giving their hearts to the Lord. They did not know that the entire Church Body had been praying for their Salvation, as they had been taking their kids to Sunday School, but not attending! The Author's Enjoyment, along with her Eight Grandchildren and her two Living Children, include Bible Study, Crafting, Sewing, Music, Camping and exploring the New England Seashore and the Adirondack Mountains. A married lady of 52 years to a loving husband, this book will culminate her desire for this Collection of Poetry to be finally published. My journey on the path to spiritual enlightenment began at a very young age—at the age of one and a half. I was violently thrust into the arena of good and bad, violent and nonviolent. In order to cope with the violence in my life, I connected with my source. Outwardly, I was a happy-go-lucky child, while inwardly, I was trying to rationalize and trying to understand how a person, like my father, who walked the earth, could grow into a monster—because for the most part, we all start out as good human beings. There are some cases where a soul is born with an evil predisposition, but for the most part, people start out good and the environment they are born into plays a large role in shaping the person they ultimately become.
