Description : This beginning Yoga poses compilation package includes 2 Volumes in one. It is for everyone who is a beginning Yoga student and who wants to get started with Yoga the proper way. Hi, this is Juliana Baldec and my sister Alecandra Baldec empowered me to get into the fascinating world of Yoga. She inspired me and encouraged me not only to tap into the unlimited benefits of Yoga which helped me get rid of my breathing and Asthma problems, but she also inspired me to write this Yoga poses book that includes all the Yoga poses that I have been doing on a daily basis for around 3 months now. Not only did I beat Asthma by applying these Yoga poses on a daily basis, but I also turned into a much fitter, happier, healthier and more relaxed person. Alecandra (the productivity and time management whizz) also had the genius idea to create this compilation of beginning Yoga poses for beginning Yoga students who are looking for the most basic Yoga poses that they can get started with immediately without having to spend a forune on Yoga teachers. We put our two beginning Yoga position guides together into one comprehensive compilation for beginning Yoga students to learn from and to enjoy. Both, her and my book talk about beginning Yoga poses in a completely different way and perspective because I am a beginning Yoga student myself and I am talking about my own experiences that I have made with Yoga over the past 3 months and she is a certified Yoga instructor and has lots of experience and knows about every aspect of Yoga. She also has lots of experience with her own students and knows exactly what kind of questions and problems a beginning Yoga student is faced with. Here is what you will get in my beginning Yoga poses guide: "11 Yoga Poses For Beginners You Wish You Knew" This compilation is for anybody who is looking to get into Yoga in an effortless way and it is perfect for anyone who is looking to become more relaxed, stress free, more energized...

This evidence-based book delivers easy-to-use mindfulness skills that can be used as needed to alleviate symptoms and promote healing. Some people heal naturally after they experience a traumatic event, but some trauma lasts and can develop into PTSD, with symptoms like depression, anxiety, panic, flashbacks, difficulty sleeping, or losing interest in life. You may find yourself on the sidelines, disengaged from your own life, with little sense of who you are and how to relate to others. The body, heart, and mind are all profoundly affected by trauma; in this way it can live on, causing a serious disconnect and a state of imbalance in which you’re always in survival mode. How do you move on? Description : In the context of multiple forms of global economic, social, and cultural oppression, along with intergenerational trauma, burnout, and public services retrenchment, this book offers a framework and set of inquiries and practices for social workers, activists, community organizers, counselors, and other helping professionals. Healing justice, a term that has emerged in social movements in the last decade, is taught as a practice of connecting to the whole self, what many are conditioned to ignore -- the body, mind-heart, spirit, community, and natural world. Drawing from the East-West modalities of mindfulness, yoga, and Ayurveda, the author introduces six capabilities -- mindfulness and compassion; critical thinking and curiosity; and effort and equanimity -- which can guide practitioners on a transformative and empowering journey that can ultimately make them and their colleagues more effective in their work. Using case studies, critical analysis, and skill sharing, self-care is presented as an act of resistance to disconnection, marginalization, and internalized oppression. Healing justice is a trauma-informed practice that empowers social practitioners to cultivate the conditions that might allow them to feel more connected to themselves, their clients, colleagues, and communities. The book also engages critically with self-care practices, including investigation into the science of mindfulness, cultural appropriation, and the commodification of self-care. The message is clear that mindfulness-based practices are not a panacea for personal, inter-personal, or political problems. But, they can put practitioners in a more authentic and powerful place to work from, which is particularly important in a world where there is more connection to technology, ideologies, and people who share one's beliefs, and less connection to the natural world, people who are different, and the parts of oneself that one tends to reject. The book also offers suggestions for how to share self-care practices with community members who have less access to wellness.

Description : This practical text is an excellent introduction to the clinical skills all physicians, particularly those in primary care disciplines, need to treat their patients in a humane fashion and at a reasonable cost. The authors focus on patient-centered, or generalist, skills that will help the biomedically oriented physician become more comfortable in managing patient care situations. In addition, the chapters review the diagnostic, treatment, and technical skills that medical students encountered in their Introduction to Clinical Medicine or Physical Diagnosis courses. The book's clinical cases will stimulate class discussions and provide vignettes for skills practice.
