Terrorism 9 11 and Freedom Book Excerpt:

Thirty-six essays from 2000 to 2009 chronicling America's struggles with terrorism and freedom. The first of these essays was written over a year before the events of 9/11/01. The last was written in 2009. The second was written the day of 9/11 and published the next week. These essays and articles are a kind of chronological examination of U.S. involvement in Afghanistan and Iraq and the consequences for life here in the United States post 9/11. You may judge for yourself with the hindsight of history how accurate were my analyses, predictions, and descriptions of these events of the past decade and a half. Those who forget the lessons of history...

Christians 911 Book Excerpt:

Christians 911: Healing for the Brokenhearted is a compilation of five (5) books written by the author. The first title "Dying 911" gives an account of a life experience, and possibly a near death experience, where the author found himself standing in the outskirts of hell, having a personal conversation with Jesus Christ. The second title in the series "Living 911" gives an account of the author's long-term battle with memories from the past and how they seemed to take control of his life at the most inopportune times. Finally, out of desperation, he cried out to God in prayer asking for help. That prayer, and God's answer to it, have led the author on a journey for the past thirteen (13) years that continues today. That journey has led to freedom from the tormenting memories and opened the door to a priceless spirit to spirit, heart to heart relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The third book in the series "Anxiety 911" chronicles a fourteen (14) year ordeal where the author experienced multiple anxiety attacks on a daily basis. Finally, at the end of his rope, the author exclaimed to God, "Please help me get rid of these anxiety attacks. If You cannot do that I am ready to die!" Thankfully, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit remained faithful. Leading the author through the Bible one scripture after another until the truth was exposed, liberating the author from a life dominated by one anxiety attack after another on a daily basis. The forth book in the series "Soul 911" helped the author develop a relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit that he never dreamed possible. When he came to understand that his soul is the image and likeness of God living in him it changed his life. For the first time in his life he was no longer afraid of God, but rather, began to look forward to their time together. He came to understand that God Himself chose to make him in His image and likeness, for His own enjoyment. The author has literally become facinated with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and His desire to share His secrets with him. The fifth and final book in the series "Cancer 911" is an inspiration from the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit pouring His heart out to help Christians understand that there is a cure available for all disease and sickness, including cancer. This book is a foundational introduction to the cure for sin and all its effects. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior we enter into a covenant with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit that reveals our God-given inheritance. As born-again Christians we are heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ Jesus. We don't need a man, we don't need any money, and we don't need a worldly education to receive the cure into our spirit, soul and body. Read this book and read it over and over again. If you've got cancer you will be cured. If you've had cancer, you will never have it again. If you've never had cancer, you will never have cancer.

Exalting Jesus in Psalms, Volume 2, Psalms 101-150 is part of the Christ-Centered Exposition Commentary series. Edited by David Platt, Daniel L. Akin, and Tony Merida, this commentary series, to include 47 volumes when complete, takes a Christ-centered approach to expositing each book of the Bible. Rather than a verse-by-verse approach, the authors have crafted chapters that explain and apply key passages in their assigned Bible books. Readers will learn to see Christ in all aspects of Scripture, and they will be encouraged by the devotional nature of each exposition presented as sermons and divided into chapters that conclude with a “Reflect & Discuss” section, making this series ideal for small group study, personal devotion, and even sermon preparation. It’s not academic but rather presents an easy reading, practical, and friendly commentary. The authors of Exalting Jesus in Psalms, Volume 2, Psalms 101-150 are Daniel Akin, Johnny Hunt, and Tony Merida.

911 Psalm Book Excerpt:

What does saying what God says mean to you? How does living a victorious life in Christ multiply your ability to have what you want in life? The book 911 Psalm is not an interpretation of the scriptures. It is a call in meditation to God for help with troublesome thoughts of sorrow, worry, doubts, and isolation. Like any 911 call, the purpose gets the help you need. Like any 911 call, urgency drives the moment. Like any 911 call, the need is personal and can often involve someone or something outside of oneself. In this volume, you choose how, in meditation, to call out to the Holy Spirit to alleviate what you perceive as your greatest needs.

Argumentation and Use of Scripture in Romans 9 11 Book Excerpt:

The dominance of the Scriptures in Romans 9-11 is the decisive factor for their comprehension, so that it can be affirmed that here we have an example of scriptural argumentation. This work is a systematic study of how and why Paul's argumentation is combined with the scriptural references in these chapters and consequently it deals with rhetorical analysis and scriptural exegesis together. At every level of the argumentation (inventio, dispositio, and elocutio), it tries to verify how and why the Scriptures enter or not into the rhetorical procedure and in what manner they determine its whole course. The detection and the analysis of Paul's particular method of argumentation through the Scriptures permit a better grasp of the content of Rom 9-11. In this perspective, which respects the proper characteristics of the discourse, the numerous aporias and difficulties which these chapters pose for exegesis are resolved more easily. The study discovers the innovative way of reading and interpreting Scripture that the Apostle displays in these chapters. As a consequence, this permits a better appreciation of the importance that the Scriptures have in Christian proclamation and experience, in the way that Paul communicates it to us. Filippo Belli, a catholic priest in Florence, earned the licentiate in 2000 and the doctorate in 2006 at the Pontifical Biblical Institute. He teaches Sacred Scripture at the Theological Faculty of Central Italy in Florence.

The Complete Works of C H Spurgeon Volume 39 Book Excerpt:

Volume 39 Sermons 2289-2341 Charles Spurgeon (19 June 1834 – 31 January 1892) is one of the church’s most famous preachers and Christianity’s foremost prolific writers. Called the “Prince of Preachers,” he was one of England's most notable ministers for most of the second half of the nineteenth century, and he still remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations today. His sermons have spread all over the world, and his many printed works have been cherished classics for decades. In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to more than 10 million people, often up to ten times each week. He was the pastor of the congregation of the New Park Street Chapel (later the Metropolitan Tabernacle) in London for 38 years. He was an inexhaustible author of various kinds of works including sermons, commentaries, an autobiography, as well as books on prayer, devotionals, magazines, poetry, hymns and more. Spurgeon was known to produce powerful sermons of penetrating thought and divine inspiration, and his oratory and writing skills held his audiences spellbound. Many Christians have discovered Spurgeon's messages to be among the best in Christian literature. Edward Walford wrote in Old and New London: Volume 6 (1878) quoting an article from the Times regarding one of Spurgeon’s meetings at Surrey: “Fancy a congregation consisting of 10,000 souls, streaming into the hall, mounting the galleries, humming, buzzing, and swarming—a mighty hive of bees—eager to secure at first the best places, and, at last, any place at all. After waiting more than half an hour—for if you wish to have a seat you must be there at least that space of time in advance—Mr. Spurgeon ascended his tribune. To the hum, and rush, and trampling of men, succeeded a low, concentrated thrill and murmur of devotion, which seemed to run at once, like an electric current, through the breast of every one present, and by this magnetic chain the preacher held us fast bound for about two hours. It is not my purpose to give a summary of his discourse. It is enough to say of his voice, that its power and volume are sufficient to reach every one in that vast assembly; of his language, that it is neither high-flown nor homely; of his style, that it is at times familiar, at times declamatory, but always happy, and often eloquent; of his doctrine, that neither the 'Calvinist' nor the 'Baptist' appears in the forefront of the battle which is waged by Mr. Spurgeon with relentless animosity, and with Gospel weapons, against irreligion, cant, hypocrisy, pride, and those secret bosom-sins which so easily beset a man in daily life; and to sum up all in a word, it is enough to say of the man himself, that he impresses you with a perfect conviction of his sincerity.” More than a hundred years after his death, Charles Spurgeon’s legacy continues to effectively inspire the church around the world. For this reason, Delmarva Publications has chosen to publish the complete works of Charles Spurgeon.
