Our special book has been titled ‘Life in a Kaleidoscope’ for the reason that a kaleidoscope symbolizes variety and inspiration. The magic of thinking of life as a kaleidoscope is that you can imbibe all the colours of life; the good, the bad, the experiences that broke you, the events that shaped you to the best and much more. Upon shuffling the sparkly pieces together, you create a unique and spectacular beauty knowing that even the slightest shift can change the entire spectrum! The cover design depicts various colours of emotions as viewed by a person as the book speaks of the deepest and darkest emotions of human life. We all can draw inspiration from this art by embracing the nature of the kaleidoscope and keep growing by seeing the beauty in each new perspective of life; moulding the journey to become the person you are meant to be

Description : My books have been such a blessing for me to write, not for the money, or for the people that I know that say oh wow You have wrote books, that part of it means so little compared to when someone I know gets my book and tells me they have it by their bed and it helps them feel peace to go to sleep. Or when someone is hurting so much and they tell me they didn't know anyone would understand and know their pain, and they find someone that has gone through the very thing and are a survivor. When I know that my pain or heartache can help someone else to find a healing or get lead back to God. When I find out that God had poured into me to pour out to someone I could never have met in real life but they were lead to pick up the book and hear what He wanted them to know. That's my real payment, that's my blessing.

Description : This study of poetry by women in late imperial China examines the metamorphosis of the trope of the "inner chambers" (gui), to which women were confined in traditional Chinese households, and which in literature were both a real and an imaginary place. Originally popularized in sixth-century "palace style" poetry, the inner chambers were used by male writers as a setting in which to celebrate female beauty, to lament the loneliness of abandoned women, and by extension, to serve as a political allegory for the exile of loyal and upright male ministers spurned by the imperial court. Female writers of lyric poetry (ci) soon adopted the theme, beginning its transition from male fantasy to multidimensional representation of women and their place in society, and eventually its manifestation in other poetic genres as well. Emerging from the role of sexual objects within poetry, late imperial women were agents of literary change in their expansion and complication of the boudoir theme. While some take ownership and de-eroticizing its imagery for their own purposes, adding voices of children and older women, and filling the inner chambers with purposeful activity such as conversation, teaching, religious ritual, music, sewing, childcare, and chess-playing, some simply want to escape from their confinement and protest gender restrictions imposed on women. Women's Poetry of Late Imperial China traces this evolution across centuries, providing and analyzing examples of poetic themes, motifs, and imagery associated with the inner chambers, and demonstrating the complication and nuancing of the gui theme by increasingly aware and sophisticated women writers.

I was confused because I wanted to be with my mom. I didnt understand why I couldnt go home and live with my mom. I was a confused girl. I struggled with authorities. I was oppositional. I had strong feelings toward my mother for hurting me like she did. I couldnt understand why she gave up on me, for I needed her. Based on my grief from my fathers passing to my beloved husband passing away, finding ways to cope with my losses and surviving without those that had passed away, the happiness of finding love again kept me going.
