Vision reports occupy large space in the Book of Ezekiel and the texts put special emphasis on the details of receiving a vision. In Thailand, Buddhist monks or Hindu priests also have seen visions. Mediums travel to distant places in visions and meet with spirits. Christian churches set goals for the future and call them visions. This study takes a closer look at visions both in the Book of Ezekiel and in the Thai context by focusing on the Thai translation of Hebrew terms for visions. Besides that, it compares the Hebrew concepts behind visions with the Thai understanding.

For over 60 years, the ultra high-speed photography of Harold E. "Doc" Edgerton has stopped time. His work makes visible the elusive gestures and trajectories of our world in action: from the dripping of water to a bullet's path. His experiments with stroboscopic flashes resulted in hundreds of—and not incidentally beautiful—images of a realm beyond human vision. Edgerton, a lifelong teacher and researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, is today celebrated as both a scientific innovator, and also as an astonishing photographer. Seeing the Unseen is an engaging new study of Edgertons's life and science. Designed to look like one of Doc's own laboratory notebooks, the book places his work in its historical technological context, and clarifies his motivations and methods. Edgerton, with his own plain-spoken and witty brand of genius, is vividly portrayed in a biographical essay by Douglas Collins. It covers Edgerton's early years in Nebraska, his beginnings at MIT as a graduate student in electrical engineering in 1926, the decades of inspired research and teaching in"Strobe Alley" (his MIT lab), and his fruitful collaborations with everyone from Hollywood filmmakers to Jacques Cousteau, until his death in 1990. Seeing the Unseen is profusely and colorfully illustrated with photographs of and by Harold Edgerton, and well as easily-understood technical diagrams of his methods. Included in the book is a Portfolio Photo CD, produced by George Eastman House and curator James Sheldon, which contains a gallery of 150 of Edgerton's most striking images, and is compatible with any CD-ROM player. Seeing the Unseen: Dr. Harold E. Edgerton and the Wonders of Strobe Alley is the official catalog for an exhibition of the same name currrently on display at George Eastman House in Rochester, and traveling to Winston-Salem NC, Seattle, Boston, Middlebury VT, and San Diego through 1997. In this expanded edition of his devotional Seeing the Unseen, Randy Alcorn provides 90 inspirational readings that will help you view today through the lens of the eternal. As we better grasp the realities of the spiritual realm, we gain a clearer perspective on our present life, including things like suffering, happiness, generosity, and peace. Come with me as God takes me on a journey. Watch what God reveals through the Dreams, Visions and Out of Body Experiences of mine personally, as well as that of others who have shared with me theirs. Let me tell you about some of the accounts that affected me and sometimes others. This book will show you How to be a True, Living Epistle of God through awareness of your own Dreams and Visions. It will teach you how to STOP where you are in life to hear the voice of the Lord God and hearken unto it. Unfortunately, we are presently living in the mist of a "Microwave Society" that is too busy for God. Nevertheless, God wants to speak and does so every single day. Yet most often than not, we are too busy to notice when He is speaking because we are caught up in our own way of living life. We simply neglect to make an effort to STOP and pay attention to the signs and wonders of GOD afforded us. As a result, we miss out on the very thing that we have need of or may be in prayer about. I tell you this day, God has already spoken through a Dream, Vision or His Word. We merely have not noticed it yet! This book shows you How to Acknowledge, Pay Attention and Respond Accordingly when God is speaking. Believe me when I tell you, He is speaking! Let me, through this book, show you how. A MUST READ for everyone who desires to learn more about How the Word of GOD affirms the Spiritual Application for the Natural Situations encountered in Dreams and Visions.

Since 451 A.D., at the Council of Chalcedon, Christians have prayed a credo—a short summary of their belief—during Mass which begins: “I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of Heaven and earth and of all things seen and unseen.” With that belief, they see the unseen: God, His Blessed Mother, the Angels, the Saints, and Satan, the fallen Archangel. This touching memoir asserts the fact that we live in two different worlds—the ever-changing one we see with our human eyes and the ever-constant one we see with our eyes of faith. Seen and Unseen Worlds: Private Memoirs of a Former Jesuit is a very human introduction to living faith by a young man who was part of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) for nearly twelve years. The book culminates with Murray’s decision to leave the Society in 1956. This book is for people of all religions and ages because it deals with life, destiny, the world we know, and the world we cannot yet know. Malaria, cockfights and magic are confronting realities in the Asia-Pacific region, yet beyond these more remains unseen and misunderstood. These cultures also exert an unacknowledged influence far beyond their borders. Inspired by one family’s experience over three generations these tales are cradled in real events. Frailty of memory, the natural passing of people and the need to protect others, has rendered some into fiction. Central to this work is the idea that interactions with people from outside our culture challenge our expectations. Meanings and understandings must often be negotiated in intangible, non-rational and unseen ways. Foucault’s notion of the third space has influenced this work, as has the Balinese belief that reality is an interaction of Sekala (the Seen) and Niskala (the Unseen). The unseen also has a political dimension here – “the elephant in the room”. Choosing not to see, comforted by one’s own culture alone, is to ignore that regional and global events are unfettered by such introspection.

The Unseen Hand' is a novel written in 1881 by American Congregationalist minister, lecturer and author of popular boy's adventure books, Elijah Kellogg. A vast majority of the noblest intellects of the race have ever held to the idea that,—“There’s a divinity that shapes our ends, Rough hew them how we will.” By its influence they have been both consoled and strengthened under the pressures and in the exigencies of life. This principle, to a singular degree, assumes both form and development in the story of James Renfew, the Redemptioner.

"When The Wake of the Unseen Object was published in 1991, I imagined it might reach readers as a work of "literary travel," a genre then filling the shelves at the front of bookstores. The understated arc of the book, after all, was the education of a traveler: his progress, from early awkward door-to-door questioning to a deeper understanding and sense of place. His lessons in paying attention and seeing the world as it is, unburdened by romanticism or its inverse, disillusion. His struggles to free himself from that peculiar little character who shows up briefly in Chapter Two, "the God of Things as They Ought to Be." This new edition of the book reproduces the text as it originally appeared, without corrections or updates. Terms such as "Eskimo" and "Indian," now subject to reconsideration but common and accepted in that day, remain in place, along with then-standard applications of the words "Inupiat" and "Inupiaq," as noun and adjective"--

The computer syndicate is a fictional short story that combines satellite photography with a story to unravel the location of a hidden syndicate known only as The Computer. It integrates the potential for web browser use of endless hours of online entertainment once the locations have been found. There are a ton of locations on the planet that create similar style photos as the ones in my book. The story starts out by giving clues about the location of the computer and then travels around to different locations to interpret and find more clues from the images in order to find the location of the evil computer syndicate. Many of the characters are involved in actions but is up to the reader to decipher what the actions mean and where the clues lead too. A different investigator might think something completely different while hunting down the nefarious computer. My ebook creates an entirely new concept and even if the location of the computer is found by the reader, there is always more works of art to discover, interpret, and share with friends.
