The Spiritual Canticle, Cántico Espiritual, is one of the poetic works of the Spanish mystical poet St. John of the Cross. It is part of four works by John dealing with the so-called Dark Night of the Soul, when the individual Soul undergoes earthly and spiritual privations in search of union with God. Along with the other three, The Dark Night Of the Soul, The Living Flame of God and the Spiritual Canticle, it is regarded as one of the greatest works of mysticism in Christianity and in the Spanish language. Description : You are deeper than your life shows, and you know it. You are more loving than your relationships allow, more brilliant than your career suggests. In your secret depth of being, you are infinite, creative, boundless and utterly unable to press your full glory into the world. Or so it seems. In Blue Truth, David Deida presents a treasury of skills and insights for uncovering and offering your true heart of purpose, passion, and unquenchable love. In Part One, Deida shows you how to open as the entirety of the moment, feeling as deep inside and as far outside as you can, for as long as now opens. In Part Two, he reveals how to walk this path in the wilderness of intimate relationship, illuminating the art and play of sexual gifting, including how to expertly navigate the tangle of anger, jealousy, fear, lust, and much, much more. “Knowing the truth is fairly useless; feeling it is profound; living it makes all the difference,” teaches David Deida. With Blue Truth, you have an unprecedented guide for living your own deep truth, and awakening “as the bare openness you are, in the free offering of love to all.” Blue Truth was named by Spirituality & Health Magazine (June 2006 issue) as one of the Best Spiritual Books of 2005, in the Personal Growth category. Praise “Blue Truth is a brilliant book, absolutely gorgeous. Ancient wisdom on sacred sexuality, freed of historical and cultural trappings, glows from these pages in exhilarating, luminous prose. Deida brilliantly lays bare the hidden psychology of feminine and masculine and offers clear instructions for tapping into our deepest core and achieving true harmony through sexual intimacy. I feel that Deida has reached a new level of poetic genius in his writing, and his understanding of feminine psychology astounds me. I am just knocked out by this book.” —Miranda Shaw, PhD, author of Passionate Enlightenment: Women in Tantric Buddhism “David Deida is in the dynamic living oral tradition of maverick spiritual teachers who, like free-jazz musicians, can riff directly on Reality, outside of established forms. Mark my words: in a future that I hope is not too far off, David Deida’s original Western Dharma will be widely known as one of the most sublime and accessible expressions of the essence of spiritual practice that is freely offered today.” —Lama Surya Das, bestselling author of Awakening the Buddha Within “The openness, the love! What lively new language David Deida finds for the unsayable.” —Coleman Barks, author of The Essential Rumi

Description : No class of works is received with more suspicion, I had almost said derision, than those which deal with Science and Religion. Science is tired of reconciliations between two things which never should have been contrasted; Religion is offended by the patronage of an ally which it professes not to need; and the critics have rightly discovered that, in most cases where Science is either pitted against Religion or fused with it, there is some fatal misconception to begin with as to the scope and province of either. But although no initial protest, probably, will save this work from the unhappy reputation of its class, the thoughtful mind will perceive that the fact of its subject-matter being Law--a property peculiar neither to Science nor to Religion--at once places it on a somewhat different footing...

Description : St. Teresa Margaret Redi was a Carmelite captivated by the love of God. Helping us to appreciate the holy life she led are eyewitness accounts of her spiritual directors collected soon after her death. The author of this small study builds his story on those accounts by the Discalced Carmelite friars who knew her as a young religious. Father Gabriel of St. Mary Magdalene lays out clearly the steps in Saint Teresa Margaret's spiritual biography and how she developed her deep attachment to love for God, by using classic Carmelite doctrine about growth in the spiritual life. More Information Teresa Margaret Redi was an Italian daughter of Saint Teresa of Jesus who lived in the eighteenth century (1747-1770). Like Saints Thérèse of Lisieux and Teresa de los Andes after her, her life in Carmel was brief. Her canonization came early in the last century (1934) and only now are we coming to appreciate better the spiritual legacy she left behind. This summary study by a noted spiritual theologian is a useful companion to the fuller biography of Margaret Rowe, God is Love: Saint Teresa Margaret, Her Life (ICS Publications, 2003). The translator was Editor of Spiritual Life Magazine when he issued this work for Spiritual Life press originally in 1965.

Description : Abortion continues to be a hot topic in politics, women’s rights, and medical practice. But for the eight to ten million American Christian women who have had one, abortion is a spiritual issue as well, raising questions of life and death, heaven and hell, grief and loss. Writing from her own experience, Kim Ketola sheds light on one of the darkest and most neglected personal issues of our time: the widespread need for healing and spiritual recovery after abortion. “After abortion brought the worst trouble into my life I had ever known,” writes Ketola, “I just couldn’t see my way free to believe in God’s love.” With a compassionate heart, Ketola offers ten true stories of healing promise from the Bible to help women answer the most common spiritual torments they face: Is abortion a sin? Does God hate me? Where can I turn in my shame and distress? How could I ever tell anyone the truth? And more. Inspired by Romans 6:4--“just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life"--this is a definitive resource to help women see themselves and God anew and--finally--to find spiritual healing.

The place where you will find Hope and Joy abiding by the Rivers of Waters.A thought-provoking and controversial book based on a true story of how God's love for us TRANSCENDS THE BORDERS, LIMITATIONS, AND CONCEPTS that many bible -believing "religious" Christians hold dear. Infused with revelations called "Conversations with God" aided by the powers and gifts of the Holy Spirit; this book tells the story of a purposeful leader and traditional Christian believer who was unable to see God's earthly promise come to pass during the most difficult time of her life. Despite the testing circumstances she was able to receive unfathomable treasures and rewards from an unlikely source. She shares her experience about the afterlife in "The Insignificant Encounter" which was actually significant to those she loves - her family, community, and school. PARADISE REVEALS: Supernatural Encounters; The Importance Of Free Will; Spiritual Purpose; Spiritual Warfare; Witchcraft, Evil & Deliverance Defined; The Need To Focus On A Relationship With Christ Jesus And Not Religion; The Failing Church; Revelations About The Afterlife, Heaven And Hell. REVIEWS A riveting story that should be told and shared. The love and deep emotions come across unmistakenly and unapologetically. We walk through the stages of grief with Lyssa-Ann: anger, denial, blame, coming to terms with the passing. Could be cathartic for readers who are also experiencing loss. The story comes from the heart. It's well told and interesting. There are varying levels of spiritual elements which add to the interest and pique curiosity. If you had put your spiritual frame of reference in a box, it's time to TAKE IT OUT!The story is told through the eyes of a grieving daughter...Readers will get that straight away.
