Description : The book about the power of sprouts as an ultra-food for health, weight loss, and optimum nutrition by Doug Evans, the co-founder of Organic Avenue and the founder of Juicero The Sprout Book is a transformative plan to empower readers to embark on a plant-based way of eating that’s low-cost and accessible. With a foreword by Joel Fuhrman, M.D., this book introduces sprouts, one of the most nutritious sustainable foods on earth, by adding a few dishes to a diet and then shifting into a raw, whole foods plant-based diet. Among the mind-blowing nutritional qualities of sprouts: — they have 20-30 times the nutrients of other vegetables and 100 times those of meat — they are cancer-fighting and help to protect us from cardiovascular disease and pollutants in the environment — they help with digestion — they are a healthier alternative to juice cleansing, and will leave consumers with more energy and fuller stomachs for fewer calories, sugars, and carbs The forty recipes contain at least 50% sprouts on top of raw vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, spices, medicinal mushrooms, sea vegetables, and top-quality cold-pressed vegetable oils. After ten days of sprouting, a reader will lose weight, gain energy, reduce inflammation, sleep better, become more regular, and think more clearly.

Description : When Sprout and his father move from Long Island to Kansas after the death of his mother, he is sure he will find no friends, no love, no beauty. But friends find him, the strangeness of the landscape fascinates him, and when love shows up in an unexpected place, it proves impossible to hold. An incredible, literary story of a boy who knows he's gay, and the town that seems to have no place for him to hide.
Description : Amazing, but true: Brentford Town Council, in an act of supreme public-spiritedness (and a great big wodge of folding stuff from a mysterious benefactor) has agreed to host the next Olympic Games. The plans have been drawn up, contracts, money and promises are changing hands. Norman's designed some stunning kit for the home team, and even the Flying Swan's been threatened with a major refit (gasp!). But something is very wrong...primeval forces are stirring in ancient places...dark magic is afoot in Brentford and someone must save the world from overpowering evil... ...Jim Pooley and John Omally, come on down! This must be the daring duo's toughest assignment yet. No longer can they weigh up the situation over a pint of large at random moments during the day. No, this time, to save the world as we know it, the lads must contemplate - nay, undertake - the most horrible, the most terrifying, the heretofore untried - REGULAR EMPLOYMENT!!!
Description : Sprout is what I consider an educational interactive book with a moral that everything created is important no matter how big or small. It begins with a blade of grass, Sprout, learning all the jobs of the things in his backyard, including trees, vegetables, and a honey bee, among others. Through Sprouts adventure, he learns of his own importance. The book has not only science facts but also nutrition facts as well. I believe it would make a positive impact on children of any age. There is a section for drawing or writing the readers own important jobs and a hidden image in each illustration to keep them involved. I have also included a glossary that Merriam-Webster was so kind to give me permission to use. For the younger readers, the moral will be evident. Although some of the words used may be ones they are not used to hearing, it will provide an introduction to new vocabulary. For the older reader, it has great learning opportunities as well as a moral they can identify with. I hope this book will help children with their confidence, self-worth, and education. Happy learning!
