Description : The world would have you believe that marriage is just a piece of paper, a formality indulged by only the most traditional of couples. In Unbreakable Covenant however, Javonna Robinson outlines God's plan for marriage through the wonder of creation and the power of her own personal testimony. With full honesty and scriptural basis, she discloses how she ended up on a path that was never ordained for her life. Revealing, raw and sometimes heartbreaking, Robinson guides us through the valley of choices that led her into a marriage outside of God's covenant. That valley led through the woods and up a mountain where Javonna had several encounters with God. She heard His voice redirecting her, encouraging her, and comforting her. Unbreakable Covenant is a journey from heartbreak to happiness; from denial to confirmation; from misuse to appreciation; from rejection to covenant. Unbreakable Covenant is a guide to developing the love, faith and trust in God needed to hear His voice, and follow His call, right to the covenant He already has for your life. A covenant that is truly unbreakable...

Description : The thesis of this book is that God intends that sexual intercourse should be at least implicitly a renewal of the marriage covenant. From this it follows that the marriage covenant provides the criterion to evaluate the morality of every sexual act. Thus the title, Sex and the Marriage Covenant, is an appropriate description of the book's contents. Marriage comes into being by a couple unreservedly entering God's covenant of marriage; contraceptive intercourse contradicts the very essence of the marriage covenant. From these considerations, Kippley developed the covenant theology of sexuality described in this book.

Description : Regardless how you interpret the statistics, the divorce rate in the United States is staggering. But, what if the government could change this? Would families be better off if new public policies made it more difficult for couples to separate? This book explores a movement that emerged over the past fifteen years, which aims to do just that. Guided by certain politicians and religious leaders who herald marriage as a solution to a range of longstanding social problems, a handful of state governments enacted "covenant marriage" laws, which require couples to choose between a conventional and a covenant marriage. While the familiar type of union requires little effort to enter and can be terminated by either party unilaterally, covenant marriage requires premarital counseling, an agreement bound by fault-based rules or lengthy waiting periods to exit, and a legal stipulation that divorce can be granted only after the couple has received counseling. Drawing on interviews with over 700 couples-half of whom have chosen covenant unions-this book not only evaluates the viability of public policy in the intimate affairs of marriage, it also explores how growing public discourse is causing men and women to rethink the meaning of marriage.

Description : There was a time when getting married means staying married. A time when a man and a woman entered into marital relationship with the decision to honor their vows and stay true to each other no matter what comes their way. Indeed marriage was for better and for worse for couples at that time and only death can separate them. It was indeed a time when marriage was perceived as an unbreakable covenant. It is pathetic that in these days, the reverse is the case when it comes to marriage. Marriage has been redefined and its purpose have been abused. No longer do people who get married have the decision and determination to stay married. The marriage vows no longer mean anything to the couples, it has indeed become a marriage that will last as long as things are better and sweet. Nevertheless, no matter what change has occurred in the way men sees marriage, the standard of God and His purpose for marriage can never change. Marriage is to be a heaven on earth and it is to be a union between a man and a woman, at every season, every circumstances and every situation till death comes. Therefore, this book is for those who have decided not just to get married but also to stay married!

Description : Marriage is a thing of joy for a man and a woman who are coming together to leave as husband and wife. When it comes to the issue of marriage everybody loves marriage! A marriage between a man and a woman is considered an outstanding motive for a birthday celebration, now no longer solely by way of the bride and groom, however by means of the circle of relatives, contributors, playmates, and even those who don't comprehend the cozy couple. While a man and woman endorse their entire lives to each other, it is one of the holiest and cherished moments for them and for all who stand with them. They can also be making vows of constancy and like to each and every different for existence. We all recognize the love story of the ages: man and woman meet, they fall in love, they marry, and they continue to be happily ever after. However, we have to have it in mind that man and woman coming together to live as one are God's idea from the beginning. God anticipated that man and woman may be joined mutually in a holy union, a holy mating, or holy matrimony. He is recognized as this sacred covenant turning into one flesh. Marriage in itself is a joint agreement between two families to have the son of one family to leave the father and mother to cleave to a woman from another family as a wife for both of them to become one. 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.Genesis 2:24 And this becoming a member of in marriage has turned out to be his maximum colorful example to fallen mankind of the intimate relationship he sought with them in the beginning. Why did God pick out to relate his love courting and lasting loyalty to a union collectively with his people via the journey and significance of a wedding ceremony and a wedding? In the new testament we find references to God being the bridegroom of his humans, who are his bride: 29 The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom's voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete. John 3:29For every marriage that survives, it is difficult for just one of the spouses to be completely comfortable, relatively both of them will be comfortable, or neither of them will be comfortable. With absent joint loyalty, no marriage in this life is going to survive and at the same time be comfortable.9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. Revelation 21:9God planned marriage as a lifelong dedication between a man and a woman for their common pleasure, the coolest of culture, and the procreation of children. Marriage in the end voices the honor and beauty of God with the aid of picturing the unbreakable relationship between Christ and his church. In pursuing the lifelong viewpoints of marriage, I found out that a tiny mutual dedication and loyalty is needed for happiness in marriage. God wants things to change in so many marriages. Nevertheless, the good news is that an end has come to the oppression of the devil against so many marriages. God is fully ready to step in and raise Himself godly marriages that will exemplify the love that is between Christ and the Church.
