Chapter 1 The Mark Twain MissionThere is a tremendous explosion on a docked steamboat and the levees of New Orleans are destroyed. The city is flooded and a young Mark Twain vanishes in the muddy waters of the Mississippi River. Not only will the future generations never get to read some of his best works but also the city will never become the great port and vacation center it is today. The 1800 club must send a member back and stop the explosion. They need a member who has an understanding of steamboats and their engines and selects Tommy "Whitey" Madden, a New York City detective. Tommy finds out that in order to prevent the explosion from becoming history he must inform Mark Twain about his mission and inadvertently gives him an idea for one of his most popular stories. Chapter 2 The Ronald Reagan MissionWhy would Ronald Reagan simply never exist? It was during his time as President of the United States that the Soviet Union was challenged by him to tear down the Berlin Wall beginning the end of the Cold War. If he wasn't around to become president, who would take his place? Find out how an Italian/American and a Scottish man-o-war fights a British man-o-war to save the future President of the United States.

Chapter 1 The Wright Brothers MissionWhat happens to the world of aviation if the Wright brothers are not the first to fly? Chances are very good that the French would have that honor and take over as the aviation leaders of the world. However, they would probably keep the flying to a selected few who would consider it a flight of fancy while the Germans would be producing powerful fighters and bombers thus changing how WWI ends. The 1800 Club must send back a club member with aviation knowledge and that turns out to be John Brand, a writer for an aviation magazine and ex-air force officer. He is shocked when he finds out the reason the brothers stopped trying to fly.Chapter II The Hindenburg MissionWhat happens if the Hindenburg blows up over the North Sea instead of over Lakehurst New Jersey as it really did? There would be no survivors, as all would drown in the North Sea causing their children and future ancestors not to exist. Doctors, artists, lawyers, statesmen and just ordinary family people will not have had the chance to help the world grow with their knowledge and arts. Once again John Brand is sent back to stop the bomb from ending the trip across the Atlantic Ocean thus ensuring that the airship keeps its date with history and blow up over Lakehurst New Jersey. Something else he must do is to get out of the doomed airship before it explodes and there are other elements trying to stop that from happening.

When George Washington gets shot while directing his troops, history takes a different course. Washington's aide-de-camp is the great-great-great grandfather of 1800 Club member and New York City Fireman, Bill Duffy. Armed with the knowledge of the battle he goes back to 1755 to try to prevent Washington from being killed.

Chapter I The Titanic MissionWhen a probe sent back by the Time Watchers group sees that the iceberg which the Titanic hit, was spotted later than it actually was, the group knew that the loss of life would be more horrific than it actually was. Knowing that someone had to go back and alert the lookouts sooner, it became apparent that the time traveler must be a woman to increase her chances of surviving by getting a seat in a lifeboat. Debby Fisher, an expert SCUBA diver, is asked to take on this mission. However, things go wrong fast and she must adapt in order to survive along with a passenger who had survived the original sinking.Chapter II The Gold Rush MissionCalifornia was a small port with a small population and nothing on the horizon until gold was discovered there. However, a time probe sent back to record that moment saw that the gold nugget was overlooked and the gold rush never took place. This kept the huge flow of migrants from China, Ireland and all of the other countries from entering California, keeping it a third rate state rather than the great state she became with the gold rush. Whoever the 1800 club sends back to that time period will have to face the many hardships of traveling across the early country, so they elect to send back a direct descendant of an American Indian. The prejudice against anyone not of their color does not make it easy for the time traveler to make sure the gold is discovered as history said it was. Along the way he befriends a few future champions of the law.

First off, he was the best general the Union Forces had and that could open the way for the North to lose the war. Secondly, he would never have become President of the United States of America, as he would not have been the hero he was. And with the Confederacy winning the war, Great Britain might have entered the war on their side. This would have split America up forever ensuring that neither would become a super power and after awhile Japan would be the real power in the Pacific. The club sends Robert Andrews, a world-class balloonist and hang glider to prevent this from happening. After a long train and boat ride with Union Forces he finally gets to the General when things quickly go wrong. With the help of Angie Verdi, a pretty seamstress and volunteer nurse, Robert chooses to use technology from our time to complete the mission. Chapter II The Civil War Spirit MissionWhy would a Union soldier's spirit linger around the battlefield for a few hundred years? This question was answered by a special mission back to the time of the Civil War by one of the Time Watchers group, Fred Wiatre. As a club member he dresses like his ancestor did, a Captain in the Union Army and easily enters the camp where Trooper Ponds, the future ghost, is alive and well. His mission: To find the reason that Trooper Ponds stays around after he's killed.
