Description : The end of this world as we know it is near. The book of Revelation is the most prominent book in the Bible when it comes to revealing the events of the end times. Revelation has been misunderstood by ministers and laymen alike since its canonization in the Bible. It has been interpreted in so many ways that it is confusing to the average Bible student, therefore, many today make very little or no attempt to understand its truths. This book, however, uses a different method of interpreting the Revelation. It uses the 39 books of the Old Testament and 27 books of the New Testament in the Bible to interpret the book of Revelation -- Scripture interpreting Scripture. You see, God has hidden the symbols and mysteries of Revelation within the Bible itself. When we make this amazing discovery we will have more]Understanding Revelation, the title of this book. Jack Hilliard received his BS and MBA from California Coast University. He has been a student of the Bible since his salvation experience in 1978. He has taught a class in Revelation, a walk through the Old and New Testament of the Bible, Teaching teachers, etc. He has served the Lord in many ways since 1978 including service as a Sunday School Teacher, Chairman of the Personnel Committee, Member of the Finance Committee, Deacon, and Chairman of the Deacons, etc. He retired in 2005 after serving 35 years in the utility industry where he received many awards and commendations from superiors and peers. Jack heard the calling from the Holy Spirit approximately 7 years ago to write a book on Revelation. This book is an answer to that call. Within the Bible are passages from the Old and New Testament that reveals the mysteries and symbols of the book of Revelation. There are many of those passages defined in this book.

Description : This is a book about life and death, conflict and war, courage and faith, heaven and hell. God’s purpose in having the book of Revelation written was because God wanted the servants of Jesus Christ to understand what is going to take place. He tells us when these things begin they will take place quickly. God so desires us to have this information that He promises to bless all those who will read and heed the book of Revelation. This book foretells of an apostasy and how the restrainer of lawlessness is removed. How the city of Babylon rises to prominence. What transpires to bring about the demise of Hamas, Hesbollah, the Palestinian resistance and Israel’s takeover of Jordan. It tells about a prosperous Israel at peace until invaded by a coalition of countries. It reveals how the antichrist comes to power and how he influences the world. It tells us about two of God’s witnesses who are killed and then come back to life. It tells us how God will rescue the Jews from Satan’s plan to annihilate them. It tells us what will happen before and after the rapture. This book has over 60 events in chronological order that must take place before Jesus institutes a new government and begins His reign as King of kings for a thousand years. This is a book about Jesus Christ. In it He tells us what He likes and dislikes about the churches. He tells us about rewards He has for us and what must be overcome to insure we have eternal life. But most of the book deals with coming events that must take place before He returns.

Description : Most books written about the book of Revelation are so difficult to read, it seems to be ten times thicker than the book of Revelation itself. Most of these books leave us lost in the corridors of time. Generally, we are left feeling confused and inadequate to comprehend what John actually saw on the island of Patmos.I intend for this to be an easy-to-read framework about the book of Revelation, in order to help you understand the Spirit of the Word and the visions that John saw. Revelation is not a separate book for some time in the future. You cannot understand Revelation without an understanding of the Word from the beginning.Understanding the book of Revelation leads you to discover your real destiny in God and entering into the wonderful Kingdom of God. We are to rule and reign in this life, right here and right now, on the earth. We are destined to be overcomers right now in this fallen state of creation. My prayer is that this book will open the door of understanding the book of Revelation; that it will be a blessing in your walk with God, resulting in the fulfilling of God’s purpose in and with your life.

Description : In the book of Revelation, John offers a peek at the steady march of society toward Christ’s kingdom on earth. Exotic language, symbols, and caricatures of the actors on the stage during John’s life provide a study in the intolerable politics of the Roman Empire, which was in power during the life of Christ and of John, his disciple. Author Sandy Miller’s Understanding the Book of Revelation as Cultural Literature brings a new and different perspective to this important biblical book. She considers such questions as what the vision says about the God John worships, and if John’s God is just, why he delays justice for those martyred for their faith. When the seventh angel trumpets the time for God to “destroy those who destroy the earth”(Rev. 11:18d), there are no bloody victims in John’s Armageddon. The only weapon used is the Sword of Truth. Christ’s white robe is stained with the blood of his own self-sacrifice. His army’s battle garb is clean and white. This war is different—a battle for the hearts and minds of men—fought daily by Christ and his army of truth tellers. Martyrs find comfort when the destroyers’ hearts are changed, but if they still need a sacrifice, justice demands they sacrifice themselves. Understanding the Book of Revelation as Cultural Literature provides guidelines to help you and your students to understand what some may find complicated. Most importantly, a better understanding of this book in particular can lead to a better understanding of the Bible and God as a whole.

Description : History is a great teacher if we would learn from it. God spoke through the prophets about historical events which took place before Christ came to earth, during Christ’s time on earth and well past 70 Ad when the temple fell. God revealed through the prophets, many of the events which happened to the Jewish people during WWII. If you know history, you can see the fulfillment of these prophecies in part or whole. This book combines both. It compels us to widen our minds to the scope of what God wants us to see and understand. In order, to know more of His plans for Christ’s coming and to be ready to share His word.

Description : A deep shroud of mystery surrounds the book of Revelation, and it lends itself to a wide variety of interpretations. Its style and symbolism intimidate us and leave us bewildered; yet there is a thread of continuity and strength permeating its pages. Not just another book on Revelation, Dennis LaValley's "Revelation: Beyond the Cross" cuts through layers of poor translation and error to solve the problems presented by hundreds of years of misinformation. In a conversational style, LaValley writes to reveal Revelation's true purpose: the full, vivid story of Jesus's return to heaven after his ministry on Earth. Through meticulous research, LaValley places Revelation back in the Bible, endows it with the authority of Scripture, and shows its relevance to the other books of the Bible and to the first-century Christian. He breaks down Revelation chapter by chapter and interprets the visions and symbols in accordance with the principles of apocalyptic literature using Scripture, not opinion. "Revelation: Beyond the Cross" shatters the bonds of tradition and superstition and strips away the mystery to reveal the pure and simple truth of the Gospel.

Description : The Book of Revelation is often polarizing. Many choose to avoid the work altogether, declaring it to be unknowable or intimidating. Others maintain a fascination with the images and characters of the prophetic pictures of Revelation. Malcolm provides a remarkable perspective on the Book of Revelation. He invites the reader into the text, providing a devotional approach to the truth presented. His insights help illuminate the promises and warnings of God. His combination of scholarship and pastoral concern are very helpful in sorting through the complexities of Revelation and therefore his discussion of the "temporal, eternal and eschatological" aspects of Revelation constitutes very helpful distinctions. Malcolm does a remarkable job of introducing the reader to Jesus throughout the Book of Revelation. It is after all a "Revelation of Jesus Christ."

Description : Many consider Revelation the most difficult-to-understand book in the Bible. Some dismiss its complicated narrative and vivid descriptions as mere allegory. Others assume that it recounts past history. The truth, however, is far more remarkable: if you understand Revelation, you can know the future of our world! The Revelation is the only prophetic book of the NT and it is the keystone of the Word of God. The Holy Scriptures start with a revelation on the past (Genesis 1) and they end with a revelation on the future. The Revelation is a very solemn book speaking much about divine judgments but it is also a wonderful book in which we find the completion of God's ways up to eternal glory. This is A Verse By Verse Scriptural Understanding Of The Book Of Revelation

Description : History is littered with those who have prophesied the end of the world, but there can be only one prophecyand the time has come for us to truly understand it. The book of Revelation, perhaps the most misunderstood scriptural text, contains the key to our hope and salvation when the end of days arrives. With the stunning evidence discovered during his exhaustive twenty-year study of Scripture, which included Greek, Hebrew, and Latin primary texts, author Timothy R. Mungovan presents The Book of Revelation: A Complete and Precise Understanding, a biblical expos containing everything Christians must know about the second coming of Jesus Christ. Mungovans compelling, research-driven commentary details every element and event leading up to and following the battle of Armageddon, including proof of the latest possible year for the beginning of the tribulation; the true character of the Antichrist; the four horsemen accurately identified; the seven trumpets events and their true meaning and consequence; the history and fallacy of rapture theory; Gods purpose for the millennial age; the fallen angels and their literal offspring; shocking photographic proof of the bottomless pit inside the earth; a complete quick reference to the events of tribulation; a primary list of key biblical metaphors. The approaching great tribulation will overtake mankind and dramatically alter world politics, economics, and society as we know them today. Only through faith and understanding can we hope to survive the Antichrist and the armies of Satan and live on into the world that is to come.

Description : Many have tried to understand Revelation, but evidently few have actually taken the visions apart to study their chronology. This book is part of the results of years of studying Revelation through the Greek, not a translation. This first book, part one of the commentary, includes a thorough discussion of the keys necessary for understanding Revelation and the timing of its events. The entire commentary will include a new translation of Revelation along with running commentary in what is believed to be a close rendition of Revelations true chronology. Included support for these understandings comes from the Old and New Testaments, early Christian writings and ancient Jewish understandings. It is the authors belief that without these new findings Christians will not be able to fully understand Revelation and the End Times.

Description : The Book of Revelation has been a mystery to many people for many years. One of the basic roadblocks to understanding the Book of Revelation has been the fact that there is no Temple in Jerusalem. The Temple was destroyed in AD 70 - so for almost two thousand years since the Book of Revelation was written, there has been no Temple in Jerusalem. Nevertheless, John, the author of Revelation, was instructed to "Measure the Temple" (Revelation 11:1-8). Daniel spoke of how the Anti-Christ would "Stop the Daily Sacrifices at the Temple" (Daniel 12:4-13). Paul spoke of how the Anti-Christ would sit "as God in the Temple of God and proclaim that he was God" (2 Thessalonians 2:1-5). Jesus spoke of the coming "Tribulation" and mentioned the "Abomination of Desolation" - which occurs inside the Temple (Mathew 24: 15-21; Mark 13:14-19). But from AD 70 until May 1948 - Neither the Temple nor the Nation of Israel existed. This book will walk you through the exact "Sequences" of when each "Biblical Event" occurs and give you the exact Bible References - so that you can "see" the actual Biblical "Sequence of Events" for yourself. The First Chapter will close with a List of 12 Events - all in Sequence - all with actual Bible References. The Final Chapter will close with a List of over 100 Events - all in Sequence - all with actual Bible References. If you ever wanted to know - for sure - What Does the Bible Say? - Then this book is for you.

Description : The Book of Revelation - also called the Apocalypse of John, Revelation to John, or Revelation from Jesus Christ - is the final book of the New Testament, and consequently is also the final book of the Christian Bible. The last book of the Holy Bible has often been described as a mystery. It is not intended to be a mystery, but a revelation was given to the Apostle John by Jesus Christ. In this book, the author recommends three keys to unlocking and understanding Revelation. He recommends that the reader have open the Scripture, and read both the chapter in the Bible along with the related chapter in this commentary. You will be blessed as you study Revelation.

Description : Understanding the Revelations of our Lord and Savior is very important to our walk with Christ, our spiritual growth, and especially our future in Him. But there are many inaccurate, false doctrinal beliefs and scriptural teachings out today that do nothing but confuse and scare many in the body of Christ. Unfortunately what someone believes, listens to, or holds fast to, could determine the out come of their eternal life. How someone feels or thinks about the coming fulfillment of prophetic scripture could determine their reaction to its fulfillment. Will you react in a godly manner, or ungodly manner? This book is designed to help the bible student understand the book of Revelation of Jesus Christ. It is ninety percent scripture that is backed up by, or referenced by other scripture and historical documentation. There are no notes which are filled with someone else's opinions. There are no misinterpretations of words, unscriptural teaching, or false doctrinal beliefs taught in this book. This book picks apart each verse, researching each word in order to know its exact meaning and how each word applies. Some words actually have two different meanings. Knowing what each word means in a specific scripture helps you understand exactly what the scripture is saying . One of the most amazing things about the Bible is many verses are backed up by other verses, which in turn are backed up by other verses. Nearly every parable Jesus spoke is related to the book of Revelation. You will be enlightened to what words like the word "perdition" means. Understanding the book of Revelation is made easy as you read and research the words of this book . The fact that you will have a better relationshipwith Christ, a much better understanding of the false doctrinal teachings of men and the book of Revelation is a guarantee by the time you have read and or researched the words of this book.
